Trunk Shows & Workshops

I can work with you and your organization to provide a workshop for your event or shop. Contact me to set up a customized workshop to suit your customers' needs. You can also review the Travel & Pricing information that applies to both workshops and trunk shows.

I am always happy to travel to your location to present a Trunk Show of my kits and designs. I can be there for one half day of pattern or book signing and to meet with your customers. Below are the basic requirements for hosting a trunk show in your shop . . .

Trunk Show Pricing

Price per 4-hour trunk show appearance is $400.00

Price does not include travel, lodging, meals or the cost of shipping required materials.

Lodging accommodations must be in a hotel (no private homes)

Setting Up the Trunk Show

Shop will provide adequate space on site for the trunk show materials and display, including space for me and an assistant to sit. The shop should also provide a table as part of the show display. If possible, depending upon travel mode, will provide other display pieces when I set up the show. At least a 10 x 10 foot space is required for trunk show set-up.

I will ship ahead or bring several completed models (these might not be the same designs as the patterns that are ordered), my original patterns for rug hooking and needle punch selected by me for the show, and hand-dyed wool and other fiber art accessories. I will set up the show at your shop (requiring about 2 hours set up time.) All profits realized for these patterns and items goes to me (these items are available for sale only during my 4-hour appearance in your shop.)

Trunk Show Day (4-hour personal appearance in your shop)

For four hours, I will be present at your shop to direct the trunk show and meet your customers, sell patterns and other items, and to sign patterns or magazines that customers purchase for my designs. I will, periodically throughout the show time, demonstrate the art of rug hooking and/or punch needle embroidery, as time allows.

After Trunk Show Day

For three days following Trunk Show Day, show materials must remain set up and maintained by the shop. Shop will continue to sell the shop-owned patterns and all profits from those shop-owned patterns belong to the shop.

At the end of three days, I will either pick up or ask you to ship to me, all models and display materials. Your shop may then move any shop-owned patterns that remain to your normal retail areas.

Trunk Show Requirements

Advertising the Trunk Show

For two weeks prior to the show, your shop will advertise in-shop and in local publications of your choosing regarding the details of the trunk show.

For two weeks prior to the trunk show, I will list the shop details (business name, address, location, and date & details) regarding the trunk show on my web site.

Stocking the Trunk Show

At least two weeks prior to the show, your shop will purchase a minimum of eight of my original rug hooking and eight needle punch patterns at wholesale from me, which will be shipped ahead or delivered by me the day of the show. Patterns for both rug hooking and needle punch can be broken down to 2 each of 4 different patterns. All profits realized from these patterns goes to your shop.
