Completed Works ~ Miniature Punch Needle Embroidery

These Russian-style punch needle embroidery pieces are completed and for sale, or you may commission a piece to be worked in colors of your choosing. Pieces shown here are my original designs worked using either wool blend threads, 100% Lamb's wool threads that were hand-dyed or hand-dyed cotton threads. Pieces are available unframed unless otherwise noted in their descriptions. Some magazine models are available for sale from time to time and will be noted as such.

This pretty wool purse is from my line of needle punch bags. It features a yellowware bowl brimming with fall bounty. I needle punched the design on a natural color wool using three strands of Burmilana wool blend threads.

Envelope bag construction with a handle of the same wool. An antique button embellishes the flap, concealing the mechanics of the magnetic snap closure. Handle and flap are further embellished with hand embroidery of olive wool thread.

Bag is constructed of 100% wool with an olive acetate lining. Bag measures 9 x 12 inches with a 17 inch should strap drop.

Label inside bag is signed and dated.

Magazine Model

This needle punch design is a miniature version of my 1898 Primitive pattern for rug hooking. It is an adaptation of an antique American hooked rug. This design is very simple and primitive. Double-strand needle punch work. Design measures 3.25 x 2.5 inches and comes mounted and framed in an oak 5 x 7 inch frame.

I loved this antique hooked rug the minute I saw it online. I first adapted the pattern for hooking and then created a miniature version in needle punch. It is so naive and primitive - and I love the dark colors.

Single strand needlework. Measures 4 x 2.75 inches, mounted to fit a 5 x 3.5 inch frame. Signed and dated.

Here  is a familiar antique hooked rug adapted for needle punch. I used brighter colors because the piece is so small. I used hand-dyed 100% lambs wool threads from France to do this needle punch work.

Single-strand needle punch work. Measures  3 x 3 inches, mounted for framing in a 5 x 7 inch frame.

I created this design for Country Marketplace magazine. Two-strand needlework. Measures 3.75 x 2.5 inches. Mounted with bound edges and wool backing.

Adapted from an antique hooked rug design, this punch needle embroidery piece was worked with 6 strands of wool thread and measures 11x7.5 inches. Edges are finished with 100% variegated wool yarn, and piece is backed with navy blue wool. 100% wool
