I try to serve your needs by accepting various methods of payment -- here you will find all you need to know about making payments and shipping methods for your orders.Credit Card PaymentsI accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express cards using my secure shopping cart or by phone. You no longer have to provide your credit card numbers online if you would rather talk to me! Just call me with your order at 440-984-3486 and I can take your payment by phone.You can also use the PayPal Express Checkout and your current PayPal account, just like always, only easier and faster with Express Checkout (select that option during the order process.) I ship most orders via Priority Mail. I realize that shipping can get pricey when your items are large or heavy, so in those cases I will ship via the most economical way. I have calculated shipping for the best value and expediency. If you have any questions about shipping on an item or order, or a special shipping request, please email me before placing your order.Due to the limitations of my shopping cart, shipping on orders are calculated by the number of items, not by weight. You you order several light-weight items, the shipping will calculate too high. If you are overcharged for shipping, I will see that on your order, and refund part of your shipping back to your credit card immediately.Shipping only within the United States -- Canadian orders placed and paid for with PayPal will be refunded to your PayPal account, minus the PayPal fees. No C.O.D. orders.Postal InsurancePostal insurance is not automatically included in the cart. If you wish to insure your items, please email to let me know and I will give you the additional amount to pay for insurance. I recommend postal insurance for breakable, fragile, or expensive items. Amherst Folk Art & Rug Hooking cannot be held responsible for damaged or lost items after they are shipped. Please be aware of size and colors before you place your order. Keep in mind that colors do not appear the same on all computer monitors. Each of my hooked rugs and folk art items are one-of-a-kind and will not be exactly duplicated. If the items is marked one-of-a-kind (OOAK), there will not be more like it. Hand-painted gift and accessory items are not one-of-a-kind, but each one will be slightly different. Some of my folk art uses reclaimed materials or surfaces. Commissioned and one-of-a-kind items are non-returnable.I go to great lengths to accurately and fully describe my items, including any flaws or condition problems with antique or vintage items. However, in the unlikely event that you need to return an item, please do the following:First obtain a return authorization (RA) from Amherst Antiques & Folk Art. Not all items are returnable; if the item is defective or not what you ordered, there is no problem. Otherwise, please notify me of your wish to return an item within 3 days of receipt of the item, then if your item can be returned, I will send you an RA via e-mail. Original shipping is refunded, however, shipping and insurance for a return is not.When you return an item, include the item, the original receipt, and a copy of the return authorization (RA) e-mail. Ship these items to me in the original carton , if possible, packed well.I recommend that you insure return packages. If an uninsured item is lost in shipping or arrives damaged, I cannot issue a refund.I must receive the item within 10 days after I issue your RA; the item must be in the same condition as sent. I will inspect the returned item and issue your refund using the same method you used to make your payment (credit to your card or a check in the mail.)Address all returns to:
