Welcome . . .

Hello friends . . . it's time for an update from Folk 'n' Fiber.  I am using a new e-Newsletter mailing service called MailChimp. It should guarantee that I will not lose my contacts file again! Each newsletter will be emailed to you and then that info and more will also be posted here on this page.  I'll add news here throughout the month, even it doesn't appear in an emailed  newsletter, so check this page every once in a while when you visit.

Winter 2011 Hook-a-Month Project

I searched and searched for just the right design for the new Winter Hook-a-Month project. There were a few that I liked but nothing that really spoke to me.  Searching through my saved images, I came across a fabulous tramp art piece that is to die for . . . so I used it as my inspiration for this new design. I hope you love it . . . I am busy ordering wool, overdyeing, and preparing patterns for this new project. The rug is 22 x 28.5 inches and the wools in this kit will be luscious primitive textures and lovely mottled overdyed solids.

As always, I will have only a limited number of kits to offer. Email me if you have questions.

Fraktur Rug Progress

No progress to report;  I've been so busy that my personal hooking has taken a backseat to everything else. I am anxious to get back at it though; I hope that I will be able to show you more next time. If you have a rug design that you would like to see on foundation so you can begin hooking it, or you want a completed rug for your home or to present as a gift, please email me so we can consult about it.

Vintage on the Ridge

I have opened a new Etsy shop. I have tons of great antiques and vintage collectibles to offer, so I figured -- why not? I am blogging about Vintage on the Ridge, too. Stop by and have a read -- I am trying to keep up with posts, and you can read all I am doing with my antiques & vintage stuff.

More news coming soon . . . Sally
